A Bountiful Spring Harvest

I almost made this a wordless post because the written portion of a post is the hardest thing for me to come up with! But though these pictures alone tell the story, the story of the year 2015 when we were abundantly blessed with much harvest from our gardens, I want to express my gratitude. My gratitude to my Heavenly Father for opening the window of His heavens + blessing our crops. For His giving growth to the seeds we planted & awaited eagerly until the day they would bloom forth from His Earth. For the lessons He taught us in patience & faith, trusting that though there were many pests & hungry birds there would be plenty to go around. He alone is the Source of our provision, blessed be His Name forever!

For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

  1. Very nice photos, Rosi! The dogs are really cute, and what is the name of that cactus? How do you eat it?!

    1. Thanks, Jessica! It is a prickly pear cactus & we remove the spines before either grilling the pads & then adding some lemon, chili powder & salt to eat. Or we also cut them into strips/squares and boil until cooked & can either mix with scrambled eggs, or putting them along with chopped tomato, cilantro, & onion for some sort of vegetable salad :) These are just some ideas that come to mind right but there are many more ways to eat!
